COTF's awards program is national in scope and offers a series of annual competitions for research and scholarship awards. From time to time, COTF also offers targeted competitions in selected areas of interest.

The Research and Scholarship Review Committee reviews applications and makes funding recommendations in COTF's awards programs. Composed of established researchers, scholars and practitioners, these committees are empowered by the Board of Governors to ensure equity in the review process.

Applying for a COTF research grant or scholarship is a wonderful means of building your future and developing the needs of the OT community. Scholarships provide additional funding for researchers. Relevant research advances the profession as a whole. Please view the various research grants and scholarships available.

Funding

COTF's awards programs are funded through donations from individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations. Through an aggressive fundraising program that focuses on partnerships, collaborations and sponsorships, COTF has significantly increased funding for programs each year since its inception in 1983.
