The Canadian Occupational Therapy Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors. COTF values our donors’ trust and recognizes that maintaining this trust requires that the Foundation be open and accountable in our treatment of the information that you choose to share with us.

Your donations help us to ensure that the Foundation can continue to provide grants to support research, scholarship and publications in the field of occupational therapy. In order to fulfill these goals, COTF gathers and uses personal information.

Personal information is any information that can be used to distinguish, identify or contact a specific individual. This information can include an individual’s opinions or beliefs, as well as facts about, or related to, the individual. Business contact information and certain publicly available information, such as names, addresses and telephone numbers as published in telephone directories, are not considered personal information.

Privacy Practices
COTF respects the privacy of our donors. We do not sell, rent or trade our donor lists. We collect, use and disclose personal information only for the purpose of processing donations, keeping our donors informed about the activities of the Foundation, and to ask for their support in the Foundation. Anyone from whom we collect information can expect that it will be carefully protected and that any use of this information is subject to consent. Individuals may access their personal information at any time to ensure that it is correct and current or to edit it.
